(Aug. 31, 2007) at St. Charles Care Center, Covington. She was a homemaker and
a member of Northbrook Baptist Church, Cincinnati.
Survivors include her husband, Carl Godby Jr.; daughters, Terry
Callahan of Burlington and Tammy Manger of Cincinnati; sons, Timothy Godby of
Latonia and Trent Godby of Alexandria; a brother, Don Hines of Georgetown; a

Kings Mountain Methodist Church.

Mae Belle, 88, of Science Hill, died Monday, August 13, 2007, at the
LakeCumberlandRegionalMedicalCenter. She was born Sunday, January 12,
1919, in Eubank, to the late Barrett and Amanda May Singleton.
She graduated from Berea College in 1940 and subsequently received her
master’s degrees in English and Library Science from Universityof
Kentucky. She was a librarian and retired from the Lincoln County
School System after 30 years of service. She was a member of
EubankBaptistChurch, Eubank Homemakers Club, and Ky Retired Teachers
Association.
She loved quilting, gardening, collecting dishes, crossword puzzles, and reading. She is the widow of Edison McKinney.
Survivors include her son, Michael
(Kay) McKinney of Science Hill; four brothers, Tony & Bobby
Singleton, both of Cincinnati, and Wilburn and Earl Singleton, both of
Eubank; six sisters, Pauline Peace of Omaha, NE, Kathryn

Robert
Earl “Sherman” Reynolds, 60, of Waynesburg, passed away
Monday, July 16th, 2007 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center,
Danville. Born Saturday, November 23rd, 1946 in Waynesburg to the late
Byron Mercer & Nola Evelyn Wesley Reynolds.
Robert was a graduate of Memorial High
School, and was a US Air Force Vietnam Veteran having achieved the rank
of Sergeant. He was a postal carrier for Waynesburg and Kings Mountain
areas for more than 28 years. He was a founding Member and Captain of
Waynesburg Rescue Squad and former member of Waynesburg Ruritan Club.
Robert was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church and was a
former deacon. He was an avid deer hunter and member of The Something
Ain’t Right Rod and Gun Club. Robert was a Kings Mountain
Memorial Basketball Coach for both Boys and Girls and a referee for
local games, as well as umpiring local softball games. He also enjoyed
Church League Softball and League Bowling.
Robert wed Judy Padgett on January 1st
1973, to this marriage came two children, Robert “Robbie”
Darrell Reynolds of Jacksonville, FL and Misty Dawn Reynolds of
Georgetown. He is survived by a brother, Byron Dean (Barbara) Reynolds
of Durham, NC and two sisters Beverly Sue Murphy of Kings Mountain and
Nancy Kay (Condy) Cook of Lexington as well as a host of Nieces,
Nephews, Family and Friends and two dogs Zeus & Sis.
Robert was preceded in death by two
brothers Darrell Rickey & Byron Edison Reynolds and a
Brother-In-Law Kerry Curtis Murphy.

July 7 (2007) at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset.
Born April 12, 1932 to the late Fred W. and Opal Fletcher Ollish of
Waynesburg, he is survived by hsi wife, Christine “Greer” Ollish of 54
years.
He was a husband, father, grandfather, truck driver, farmer,
veteran of the Korean War, caregiver, and member of Grace Fellowship
Church in Stanford. He was also preceded in death by a brother,
Leroy Ollish. He will be missed by his three sons,
Charles (Connie) Ollish of Maineville, Ohio, Kenneth (Marcia) Ollish of
Pataskala, Ohio, and Fred (Mary) Ollish of Fairfield, Ohio; two
brothers, Clayton (Virginia) Ollish and Orville (Velma) Ollish both of

Kerry Curtis Murphy, 62, of Kings
Mountain, passed away, Monday, July 2nd, 2007 at Ephraim McDowell
Regional Medical Center, Danville, Kentucky. Kerry was born
Sunday, March 11th, 1945 to the Late Mike C. & Helene Mae Sears
Murphy in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Kerry was united in Marriage on January 30th, 1964 to Beverly
Reynolds. To this union were born three sons, Michael Kerry
(Molly) Murphy of Zionsville, Indiana, Patrick Curtis (Julie) Murphy of
Aurora, Indiana, and Bryon Kelly (Jennifer) Murphy of Huntingburg,
Indiana, there are six grandchildren, Rachel, Allison, Delaney, Devin,
Anna and Luke Murphy.
Kerry worked at Equitable Bag Company in Florence, Kentucky for
21 years, Mashusita in Danville for 4 1/2 years, Oakwood Communities in
Somerset for 5 years and lastly worked at Lincoln County Schools
retiring June 1st of this year. Kerry attended Memorial High
School playing Basketball and Baseball and then passed his passion on
to his sons. During his career he coached Little League, and
Junior and Senior Baseball at Milan High School in Indiana. Kerry
was a avid outdoorsmen, UK fan and Member of Kings Mountain Methodist
Church.

Caudill, 16, of Mason County died Thursday, June 14 (2007) in Ewing.
A native of
Leon County, Fla., he was born Thursday, Aug. 23, 1990 to Marcus Caudill of
Louisville and Tanya Alsbury Caudill of Maysville. He was a student at Mason
County High School.
Other survivors
include a sister Marcie Leigh Caudill of Maysville; paternal grandparents, Murl

Hubert Kelly “Eddie” Elliott,
94, of KingsMountain, passed away May 14, 2007, in Lancaster. He
was born August 7, 1912, in Casey County, KY, to the late Albert Clay
and Nancy Ellen Goodman Elliott. He retired from Southern
Railroad after 20 years of service, was of the Pentecostal faith, and
loved to play the guitar and bongos.
Survivors
include two sons, Glen Elliott of Kings Mt., and Kenneth (Mary) Elliott
of Waynesburg; four daughters, Vernie (Jack) Derry of Machesney Park,
IL, Joann (Jimmy) Sims of Indianapolis, IN, Velma (Glennis) Halcomb of
Waynesburg, and Wanda (David) Pike of Kings Mt.; 15 grandchildren; and
29 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Bell
Haggard Elliot; a daughter, Mary Lou Elliott; brothers, Arie and
Dillard Elliott; and sisters, Lillie Maynard, Mary Florence Elliott,
and Leana Elliott.
Funeral
Services will be Thursday, May 17, at 2:00 pm at Barnett & Demrow
Funeral Home. Burial will be in the SalyersCemetery.
Visitation will be after 6:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

22, Indianapolis, passed away Friday, May 11, 2007. She was a graduate
of Arlington High School, class of 2006. She attended Noble Center
East. She is survived by her parents, Robert and Margaret Quarles;
sisters, Julie and Jennifer; brother, Patrick; nieces and nephews;
grandmother; aunts and uncles; and many friends. Services will be held
at 12 p.m. Tuesday, May 15 at Emerson Avenue Baptist Church, with
calling there from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in

Pauline Stull Helms,
75, of New Paris, Ohio died Monday, May 7, 2007 at her residence. Born
on Wednesday, May 20, 1931 in Kings Mountain, Kentucky, she was the
daughter of the late Delmar James & Beulah (Rowland) Stull. She
retired in 1991 after 20 years as an operator for GTE in Richmond,
Indiana. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in New Paris,
Ohio. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Richmond, Indiana and a
Gold Star Mother. She is preceded in death by her 1st husband of 18
years: James Green; 2nd husband of 28 years Donald A. Helms in 1994;
son: Melvin Ricky Green in Vietnam 1968; two brothers: Donald James
Stull in 1929 and Robert Eugene Stull in 1945.
She
is survived by her son & daughter-in-law: Donald Matthew & Toni
Lenn Helms of New Paris, Ohio; sister & brother-in-law: Kay Irene
& George Gordon of Kings Mountain, Kentucky; two grandchildren:
Danyail Lee Nicole Helms and Kaila Aaron Renee Helms; nephews, nieces,
cousins and friends.

Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2007 at Barnes

Haskell C. “H.C.” Lovelace,
58, of Stanford, passed away Monday, April 30th, 2007 in Fayette County
as a result of a motorcycle accident.Born Thursday, December 23rd, 1948
to Flora Baker and the late Brutus C Lovelace, Jr., he was an Army
veteran having served in Vietnam and a member of Pleasant Point Baptist
Church.

include his wife, Sandy Pennington Lovelace; two daughters, Sonya Bowen
